He was now the only player who was not a two star, or three star player on our roster. He sort of served as the leader and centerpiece to our compositions.Īs time went on and my team evolved, it came to a point where that first guy I recruited who served as our 'elite' player on the team, was now clearly the weakest link, and oldest player on the team. I wish I would have done some things differently'), and the first guy I recruited was clearly the best player on my team, among my pool of amateurs I started with. I'm currently on my second run (1st game I got to the semi-pro's, looked at what I had, and thought 'huh. I kind of enjoyed watching the progression of my team evolving over time. While the OP has a legitimate point, Morph gave an excellent perspective on the matter. Why is the goal of the game to train up a bunch of ragtag competitors, but in actuality, I am pushed to actually pay money to recruit the best players from other teams? It kind of kills the fun for me. Even if I like the roleplay aspect of - you know - actually doing what the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game says your character wants to do, it would be stupid to not fire every player I started with by season 2. Players I see under recruitment already have 2 traits, more than 40 stat points, and have at least 20-25 skill with different characters. I feel like a great opportunity was missed here in allowing you to keep with your starter team, and train them up.įor example, in the second season, my starting lineup guys have about 12 total "skill" with characters, and around 30-40 stat points. but the players I start with originally have poor stats, no traits, and simply cannot compete with a constant stream of recruitment options.Īs far as I can tell, there is every reason to ditch your original lineup immediately, and if you are playing with at least some semblance on min/max (which these games always require), you shouldn't even have anyone from your original lineup in the mix. So, the game is about "building a team of amateurs" into a world class team.
